Standby

Once, I saw a beautiful fish. It shimmered like a rainbow, gracefully swimming around me. I cannot forget that day.

How long has it been? I've been waiting quietly for a long time. Of course, it's not all I think about. I might even say I'm mostly distracted by other trivial matters.

Yet, the desire to see that shining figure once more continues to reside within me as something certain.

When the sun's rays penetrate the water's surface, the light changes the color of the sea, illuminating the world around me. But it doesn't match the brilliance of that fish.

I might see it again, or perhaps I won't. But I doubt I'll regret this time of waiting
