Rendezvous

She arrived a bit early for their rendezvous and was waiting for him. The sun was still high in the sky. Sitting on a bench in front of a convenience store, she held onto her slightly warm cup of hot coffee, only a little remaining.

As the year-end approached, the streets were busier than usual. Her gaze scanned the passersby, searching for him, but his figure was yet to be seen.

They often met up in this town. The first time they met was at a café along this street. It could certainly be called a place of memories.

As the sun began to dip, the wind grew stronger, and she felt her body temperature dropping. She put on her gloves and took a sip of her coffee, which had now turned cold.
