Listening Closely

In the bustling corner of the city, I listen closely.

The roar of a passing motorcycle's engine, the jazz melodies from the speakers of the shopping district, and the chatter of people, Hidden among them are subtle sounds.

The tiny steps of an ant crawling at my feet, The chirping of a sparrow high on a branch, The distant boom of a bomb falling across the sea.

By listening closely, I realize there's so much in the world to notice.
